Stauffer & Sons is a full-service general contractor and home builder based in Colorado Springs and serves the Pikes Peak Region and other mountain communities in Colorado. Founded in 1999, Stauffer & Sons has a decade of experience in all manners of building types, including residential, commercial and government/military structures. Our broad base of expertise has equipped us to tackle even the most challenging of projects, all the way from small residential remodels up to large-scale structures. We have a long term plan which is based on building on the many successful projects and satisfied customers we've worked with over the years. We began as a one-man shop and have since grown to accommodate the demand for high-end, one-of-a-kind projects. Andy Stauffer
President
Andy is the founder and president of Stauffer & Sons Construction. He holds a bachelor's degree from Humboldt State University in California. Andy has over 15 years experience in residential construction and has a passion for building and remodeling. He began his career renovating antique structures while bringing them up to compliance with modern building codes. This background has given him an incredible talent for repairing existing structures and visualizing the "big picture" of what a project's end result will look like. When he's not building incredible homes, Andy is often playing or coaching baseball with his three sons. During the winter, you may see him on the slopes, skiing in Aspen, Keystone or Vail.
Ron Stauffer
General Manager
Ron is Andy's oldest brother, and our General Manager. A California State University, Bakersfield graduate, Ron went on to earn his master's degree in 1984. He spent his first 20 years after college in sales. Ron was recruited by Andy in 2003 to bring his insight and experience to Stauffer & Sons Construction. Under Ron's direction the company has grown from a small framing company into a diverse, multi-million dollar corporation. Ron has nine children and lives a cowboy life on a ranch east of Pueblo, Colorado. In his free time, he is also the assistant Scoutmaster for his sons' Boy Scout Troop.
Mike Rice
Project Manager
Mike is also from California, and earned his business degree with great honor at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. In 2005, he left the sunny California shores and moved to Colorado, joining us at Stauffer & Sons Construction. Mike is the head of our General Contracting division. He has a special talent for finding unexploited niche markets in construction. Mike enjoys mountain biking, weight lifting and coaching any of his three sons' baseball teams.
Scott DeVelbiss
Designer
Scott recently joined us as our in-house designer. A native of Michigan, Scott worked for seven years for our affiliate, Riverbend Timberframing, the largest Timberframe outfit in the USA. His knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop far surpasses that of most designers and architects. Scott can draw everything from realistic 3D renderings of kitchens all the way to meticulously detailed Shop Drawings, Frame and Panel Drawings and more. Scott is also an artist and can sketch, paint, and airbrush. He lives with his family on the east side of town, and can't believe how mild the Colorado winters are.
